The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA) has assigned "3-Star for normal and 2-Star for Long-term" rating to First Capital Mutual Fund based on performance during fiscal year 2009. The rating denotes "Average Performance" of the fund viz-a-viz other funds in Closed Ended Equity Funds Category. The Star Ratings issued by PACRA, measures the performance of funds not only on returns given by these funds over the period of analysis (12 months) but also the risk measured by volatility in return over monthly periods. The rating scale values range from 5-Star to 1-Star ranking Superior to Weak performers in the descending order.

The rating denotes the company’s adequate capacity to manage the risks inherent in asset management and the asset manager meets adequate investment management industry standards and benchmarks.
